Here is a mini angel design for you to cut from 1/2″ or 3/4″ pine. Note the painting guideline. Simple to cut- no need to drill holes. (Right click image to save)

Base Pattern

The wings can be made by insterting a hole (using the tip of a craft tool- or sissor point) in the back of the angel. Put a drop of Elmers glue in hole. Use a small piece of lace to insert into the hole. When painting the angels, paint the base of the angels with a flesh color of your choice. Then paint the white dress. Use a Sharpie marker for the lettering and also the face- if desired.
