How to Make Colorful Fridge Magnets in the Shape of a Heart
For Teacher Appreciation Day, and what better way to show your appreciation than with a handmade gift?

These colorful fridge magnets are easy to make and are sure to put a smile on your teacher's face.

Materials:
  • Air dry clay or Sculpey
  • Heart shape cookie cutters
  • Assorted colors of acrylic paint
  • Small paintbrushes
  • Self-adhesive magnets
  • A rolling pin
  • A cookie cutter in the shape of a heart
  • A toothpick
  • A piece of paper or wax paper
  • A clean work surface
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven according to the package directions for your clay.
  2. Roll out the clay on a clean work surface until it is about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Use a cookie cutter to cut out hearts from the clay.
  4. Use a toothpick to poke a small hole in the top of each heart.
  5. Paint the hearts with your favorite colors of acrylic paint.
  6. Let the paint dry completely.
  7. Once the paint is dry, glue a self-adhesive magnet to the back of each heart.
  8. Place the magnets on your fridge to enjoy!
Tips:
  • If you are using air dry clay, let the hearts dry completely before gluing the magnets on. This will help to prevent the magnets from falling off.
  • If you are using Sculpey, bake the hearts in the oven according to the package directions.
  • You can use any color of clay or paint you like. Get creative and have fun!
Variations:
  • Instead of hearts, you can make other shapes, such as flowers, stars, or animals.
  • You can also add glitter, beads, or other decorations to your magnets.
  • These magnets make great gifts for teachers, friends, and family.
